When dispatch receives a call, the incident is opened in NexEMS and the right unit is identified based on location, capability, and availability. As the crew responds, their status, location, and initial scene information flow back to dispatch in real time.

On scene, crew members capture vitals, treatments, and patient data directly through the NexPCR mobile interface — which is tightly integrated with NexEMS so dispatch context pre-populates key fields and reduces documentation burden. As the patient is packaged for transport, NexEMS triggers the intelligent routing engine to identify the optimal receiving facility.

The receiving facility sees an incoming notification with the patient's clinical picture before the unit arrives. At handoff, the complete field record transfers into Axia automatically — no verbal relay of information, no re-entry by ED staff, no gaps in the clinical timeline.
